1. Request a free consultation
We will come to your home and discuss your needs and expectations. If you have a plan in mind, we will discuss your design ideas with you and make a list of the details and finishes. If you don’t yet have a plan, we would be happy to help you design your perfect renovation.
2. Review proposal and budget, sign a contract
Once you have reviewed our proposal, design, materials list and budget and made any changes that are necessary, we will sign a contract. By signing a contract, we are all aware of the time line, expectations, and details of the project.
3. Apply for and confirm all permits and plans
We prefer to obtain all necessary permits prior to commencing a project. If plans are prepared properly, this process only takes 10 days on average.
4. Work begins, and continues with regular updates
Throughout the project we will be constantly available to you to answer any of your questions. If changes need to be made, a change order will be signed by both Kanata Renovation and Design and the client. By signing a change order, both parties can be certain of details.
5. Final walk through with you to ensure that your expectations have been met (or exceeded).
This is our favourite part! We love to see the look on our clients faces when their renovation dreams have been realized. If, during the final walk through you don’t love what you see, this is the time to let us know so that we can make it perfect.
